It's ANOTHER weird universe!!!!

That's more= LAYERS!!!!

Being the kaypo that I am. I admit. I just went to check out the currently very hyped-up blog of 'Sarong Party Girl'. How could I resist? With all that talk about her blog. And my! I am impressed with what the girl writes. She's cool. I didn't see her photos though. She is a bit of a smart-ass I have to admit, but quite frankly she is cool. She wants to do what she wants to do and say what she wants to say. And she says them. In your face.(like it or not). I don't know, why people are so dissed with what she is doing. She has a blog which she discuss things she cares about. Basically sex. But hey, it's her blog. Her body. Her life, so what's the problem?

But then again, I do have problem with people calling her a brave soul of Singapore blah blah... As always I think this is some 'fatal flaw' of Singaporeans. They are eager like hell to criticize or embrace heros. There is something genuinely wrong with us. Either comdemn them or cannonize them. Why can't there be a middle ground? She is not some artistic representative or liberating force of consevative Singapore. (PLEASE!) That is bloody naive! We really should practise a lot more thinking. frankly, what Sarong party girl is doing is pretty much for herself. She states so in her own blog. She is not doing it to make a point or liberate Singaporean mindset. Why can't we see things as they really are? Without having to glorify or uglify things. She is not a demon nor a saviour. Thinking either way just means that we have a misconception of what the singapore society really is.

Singapore society is not conservative. Sarong PArty girl is an obvious example. But neither does she represent everyone else. She may be very sexually active. BUt similarly there are uptight people out there who pretends that sex doesn't exist. When will we start to see Singapore not as a homogenous entity. All that crap about equality, class-less society, conformity. Singapore is much more complex than that. People are individuals. And the society is made up of these. Individuals are unique. When can we truly appreciate this fact. We truly understand this when we will no longer make a fuss. And when one person doesn;t represent the mass. Just herself. I am just freaking exesperated with how majority of Singaporean thinks. Including our wonderful leaders who try to enforce some kind of common identity. Maybe i too would have to do something drastic to get my point across.

To end off maybe it's best to leave you the quote from Shrek. "LAYERS". There bloody layers!!!

There
