Communication barrier

Sometimes, I just feel like I'm making a one way communication. He just doesn't seem to understand. I try to tell him things to make him change. Nope, doesn't get it. Is it my communication skills? I just don't want to admit it. But it is probably me. To think that we face each other almost 24/7, but nothing gets through. And I am so damn dependent on him for everything. When he is not around, everything gets screwed. My school work suffers. I feel isolated from the world. I wonder why... Why...

It must be becomes we are different. Different species that is. In fact, we fall under different scientific classification. I'm a living thing, he is not. And it must be becasue we speak different langauges. And I can never get the hang of his language. So screw it! WE'll just lead our own existence in a parallel universe. So there!

And who the hell is he? He is my bloody computer. Actually, there is no reason why he should be a he, he is afterall just a computer. But I thought it is probably more exciting to have a "he" computer. Why? So you people who are always after a scandal will be curious and disappointed. (Wahaha)

But really this is suppose to be a reply to LI... hey Li, you there?

Hey Li, I'm a com idiot too, that's why I's stuck with this navy blue polka dotted blog skin. It is bearable looking, so I'm sticking to it. So no making my own blog skin. LUcky are those pple who even create their own blog skin. I can't communicate with computers. Must be the species gap. We don't speak the same language. Ay! Why you still no comment section? But no pressure lah girl. BUt how come even the tagboard also gone.. No choice, I'm forced to reply to your blog stuff on my own blog. Haha "Low tech pple of the world unite!"

    Hey Oi Ying =)

Your post reminded me of an email I received some time back. Not sure if you've read it before, but it's titled "What's the Gender of Computers".

A French teacher was explaining to her class that in French, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

'House', for instance, is feminine; 'Pencil', however, is masculine.

A student asked, What gender is 'computer'?

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether computer should be a masculine or feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The men's group decided that computer should definitely be of the feminine gender (la computer), because:

    1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.

    2. The language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.

    3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval; and

    4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine (le computer), because:

    1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on.

    2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves.

    3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time THEY are the problem; and

    4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

    The women won.

If anything, this reminded me of Sylvie's classes lol.
